Perspective

"After a few years of hopping from one job to another, I finally found a home in Clarity Robotics. Looking back, it's one of the best moves I have ever made!"

- Willow J. , Creative Director
CLARITY ROBOTICS Test

Willow started at Clarity Robotics thinking it was just her next step. Now 15 years later...

Creative Director, Atlanta GA

Q. What is your favorite part about working for Clarity Robotics?

A. Oh that's easy, it's the people! That was how I knew I'd found the right place for me all those years ago. The Creative department at Clarity Robotics accepted me immediately as one of their own, and they quickly became like family to me. Having a team that you know is going to support you no matter how busy they are, no matter how difficult your issue may be, is more valuable than anything else. If you don't feel supported in your position, you can't flourish. And fortunately for me, it's not just the work relationship that I have with my team, we love to hang out outside of work, too! We've gone bowling together, axe throwing, grabbing dinner, you name it. And I have to say, I was never really one to socialize a whole lot with coworkers outside of work before I came to Clarity Robotics. I think it's just that I had never actually found where I belonged before, and now I can confidently say that I have!

Q. In your 15 years with the company so far, what would you say is the most important lesson you've learned?

A. I'd have to say the most important lesson I have learned so far is to just empathize with people where they are. Everyone is just trying to make the life they want for themselves, and work is a huge part of our lives. When people get frustrated, or a deadline comes and goes without a result, I've learned that you do your best to deliver and just don't take anything personally. We've all been that person who has needed something from someone and maybe got a little bit antsy about it! So putting yourselves into the client's shoes can really give you some perspective on where they're coming from.

Q. What advice would you give to new hires?

A. Don't be afraid to ask for help! It's easy to get into the mindset that you are "bothering" someone by simply asking a question and when you think about it, it's kind of silly. We have all been that new person, so we understand and are happy to help our new teammates become the best they can be. Everyone around you is willing to give you a hand, it's one of the reasons I love this company so much!
